Nace en Cuernavaca, Morelos en 1975. Estudi\u00f3 la\u00a0Lic. en Arquitectura, Universidad La Salle, Campus Morelos, Lic. en Artes Visuales, con especialidad en Artes Pl\u00e1sticas por la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro. Realiz\u00f3 diversos diplomados tales como: \u201cProfesionalizaci\u00f3n del arte\u201d; \u201cAspectos te\u00f3ricos y t\u00e9cnicos de la pintura\u201d; \u201cDibujo de figura humana\u201d, impartidos todos por el maestro Santiago Carbonell.<\/p>\n

Representado por nuestra galer\u00eda a lo largo de 14 a\u00f1os,\u00a0Selem ha participado en m\u00e1s de 50 exposiciones colectivas y varias exposiciones individuales en importantes espacios culturales de M\u00e9xico y Estados Unidos, tambi\u00e9n ha participado en las ferias de arte contempor\u00e1neo m\u00e1s importantes a nivel internacional.<\/p>\n

Este a\u00f1o, presentar\u00e1 su trabajo\u00a0en el Centro cultural de M\u00e9xico en Madrid,\u00a0tambi\u00e9n\u00a0participar\u00e1 en una muestra colectiva en una galer\u00eda en NY y una muestra especial que se realizar\u00e1 en Toronto y Montreal.<\/p>\n

“La pintura es mi lengua madre, mi estilo de vida y mi pasi\u00f3n,\u00a0 as\u00ed ha sido desde que nos descubrimos. Mi trabajo se basa en experiencias vividas en la infancia, conectar con ese ni\u00f1o asustado y temeroso por su primera mudanza,\u00a0 temeroso y asustado no por el cambio, sino por la preocupaci\u00f3n de que sus objetos m\u00e1s preciados (juguetes) sufrieran alg\u00fan da\u00f1o en el traslado. De ah\u00ed mi af\u00e1n de envolver para preservar lo m\u00e1s amado, envolver con un papel que no significa nada para un ni\u00f1o, papel peri\u00f3dico, y que hoy significa algo tan solo unos instantes mientras se lee, despu\u00e9s de esto, es solo papel para envolver.”<\/p>\n

Born in Cuernavaca, Morelos in 1975. He studied a BA in Architecture, La Salle University, Campus Morelos, BA in Visual Arts, specializing in Fine Arts from the Facultad de Bellas Artes at the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Quer\u00e9taro. He got several diplomas such as: “Professionalization of Art”; “Theoretical and Technical Aspects of Painting”; “Drawing of a Human Figure”, all taught by the master Santiago Carbonell.<\/p>\n

Our gallery was represented by him for 14 years, Selem has participated in more than 50 group exhibitions and several individual exhibitions in important cultural spaces of Mexico and the United States, and has also participated internationally in the most important contemporary art fairs.<\/p>\n

This year, he will present his work at the Cultural Center of Mexico in Madrid, and also participate in a collective exhibition in a gallery in NY and a special exhibition to be held in Toronto and Montreal.<\/p>\n

“Painting is my mother tongue, my lifestyle and my passion, that’s how it has been since we discovered each other.” My work is based on experiences I had in my childhood, connecting with that scared and fearful child for his first move, fearful and frightened not because of the change, but because of the worry that their most precious objects (toys) would suffer from some damage during the transfer, hence my desire to wrap them up to preserve the most beloved ones, wrapping them up with paper that means nothing to a child, just newspaper, and today that means something,\u00a0 just a few moments while reading, after this, it is only wrapping paper. ”\u00a0
